Your safety comes first
Safety is the top priority at Innsbruck Alpine. Our entire event concept is geared towards ensuring that everything runs responsibly and smoothly, both on and off the trails. To this end, we rely on clear structures, reliable processes, and measures that support the protection of all participants. This fundamental approach accompanies you from start to finish—on every section of the route.
Mountain Insurance
Mountain rescue insurance is mandatory equipment, so every runner must have it. If you don’t have it yet, you can protect yourself against unexpected costs with mountain rescue insurance from our partner WIENER STÄDTISCHE Insurance. Accidents in the terrain pose a risk that should not be underestimated, often with expensive consequences! Rescue from rough terrain can entail high financial costs, and the use of a rescue helicopter and necessary ambulance transport often involve considerable expenses.
What many people don’t know is that operations of this kind, especially in the mountains, often have to be paid for by the people involved. With mountain rescue insurance from our partner WIENER STÄDTISCHE Versicherung, we can protect you from unexpected costs for just €10!
You can find more details about mountain rescue insurance here:
Emergency App
All runners should install the “SOS EU ALP” app from the Tyrol control center on their smartphones in case of emergencies, so that mountain rescue services can locate participants as quickly as possible in an emergency.
Route Safety
Numerous marshals are stationed along the routes to show you the way. For each distance, sweepers accompany the back of the field and ensure that no one is left behind. We provide you with drinks and snacks at all refreshment stations so that your body has sufficient energy at all times.
Race Briefing
The race briefing is an important part of your race. Here you will receive all the latest information about the route, weather, safety rules, and organizational procedures—compact, clear, and right before the start.
We will explain what to expect on the trails, where special sections are located, what mandatory equipment is required, and how to behave correctly in an emergency. In short: everything you need to know to start your adventure safely and well prepared.
Participation in the race briefing is mandatory for all participants in the K110, K85, K65, K42, and K35 competitions.
Mandatory Equipment
A mandatory equipment check will take place before the start. This check will verify that all mandatory equipment required for the respective competition is complete and in working order. Participants without complete mandatory equipment will not be allowed to start or may be removed from the race. Random checks may be carried out during the competition. Mandatory equipment must be carried throughout the entire race.
You can find the list of mandatory equipment on the respective route page.
