Equipment inspection

A mandatory equipment check will take place before the start. This check will verify that all mandatory equipment required for the respective competition is complete and in working order. Participants without complete mandatory equipment will not be allowed to start and may be removed from the race. Random checks may be carried out during the competition. Mandatory equipment must be carried throughout the entire race.

Information about mandatory equipment

What is cold weather gear?

Cold weather gear is an essential part of the mandatory equipment. Depending on weather conditions, the organizer may require participants to carry this additional mandatory equipment.

What must be included in a first aid kit?

Your first aid kit should contain a compress (10 x 10 cm), a pair of gloves, two bandage packs, or elastic bandages. We also recommend carrying a triangular bandage and four adhesive bandages.

Do I need to bring a headlamp?

Headlamps are mandatory equipment for some of our races. You can check the individual race pages to see whether a headlamp is required for your race. Always make sure you carry a spare lamp or battery with you on the relevant routes.

What is the emergency app?

The Tyrol control center offers the emergency app “SOS EU ALP,” which all runners should install on their smartphones. You can find more information on the topic of safety on our Safety subpage.
