Course Details

The K85 is the perfect challenge for all ultra runners: covering 86.8 kilometers and 3,880 meters of elevation gain, the route takes you through impressive alpine peaks, offering varied trails and fantastic views. An unforgettable adventure for trail runners looking forward to a great route through the mountains.

Who is this race suitable for?

Experienced ultra runners (80-100km) looking for a new challenge and those for whom +100km is still too long or steep. The trails alternate between flowing and technically demanding. Lower total elevation gain and less high alpine terrain than K110.

Course Overview

A loop around Innsbruck, with the Nordkette mountain range always in view. Challenging trails test the participants’ endurance, so it’s important to pace yourself and not use up all your energy right at the start. If you want to succeed here, you need to be able to manage your energy levels well.

Further Information

Crewing

Crewing is only permitted at the official aid stations. Please note that not all stations are accessible by car or have parking facilities.

Drop Bag

At this distance, you have the option of dropping off a drop bag.

A drop bag is a bag, sack, or pouch in which K110 and K85 participants can store equipment such as new shoes, a change of clothes, or food. We will take your drop bag to a supply station about halfway through the total distance (you will find detailed information about the location of your drop bag in the runner information, which you will receive by email during the event week). After the race, we will bring the drop bags back to the event site, where you can pick up your drop bag again. Please allow some time for this, as we can only return the drop bags after all runners have passed the supply station. Please also note that the mandatory equipment items must still be carried with you.

Race Briefing

There will be a mandatory race briefing for all participants in the K15 – K110 competitions.

Here you will receive all the latest information about the course, weather, safety rules, and organizational procedures—compact, clear, and right before the start.
